On Saturday, Lois took home a third place trophy and was joined on the winner’s podium by teammate Paloma who finished 10th. They helped their team to a 7th place finish out of 15 teams, building a new streak of combined top-ten finishes just as they had last year, but this time against high school competition. Lo finished with a time of 20:25. Kelly was back in action following a calf injury, finishing with calves cooperating. See results at the Dayton Daily News or OH Milesplit. Miller third at Eaton for girls
The YSHS girls cross country team took on some of the best competition in the state at Eaton Invitational Saturday, Sept. 19. Unfazed at facing #1 ranked Mister, #6 ranked Fort Loramie and #11 Russia, Lois Miller led all of the Bulldogs with a third place finish out of 110 runners in the varsity race in 20:25, just in arrears of Minster’s top runner who set the torrid pace. Teammates Paloma Wiggins and Reini Brickson posted lifetime bests for the 5-kilometer distance.
