I was worried about Orlando all year, ever since seeing the Cavs lose their first regular season game against them, the Cavs’ defense not being able to cover all the Magic 3-point shooters. Then, Jameer Nelson went down and I didn’t worry as much. Then, Cavs beat them by only 6 at home, then got absolutely blown out at Orlando (jet-lag notwithstanding). Now, Orlando has home-court advantage, and the Cavs must be considered underdogs at this point. I hope they can make the adjustments they need, but their inability to make perimeter shots, guard Rashard Lewis, and simply pull out a win last night puts them in a really tough position. This could be a case in which specific matchups trump overall success: the Cavs have proven they are overall the best team in the East, but that doesn’t mean they can beat every team in the conference in a 7-game series.
