Lois Miller kicked off her spring track season last Friday at a middle school meet at Greenon High School. Runners survived a brutally cold and windy evening that sent parents to their cars to warm up between their kids’ races. Distance runner Lois, after complaining about having to run in sprinter’s races, finished 2nd in the 400 meters, and 1st in the 4 X 200 meter relay, also running the first leg of the 4 X 400. On Sunday, she ran in a 5K and finished second in the 18-and-under women’s division. In related news, family friend and Yellow Springs Senior Ryder Comstock ran a half-marathon, her Senior project and fundraiser for the American Heart Association. Nice job!
